British Physics Olympiad Results
|
| |
Huge congratulations to two of our Year 13 students, James and Tom, who have been awarded silver awards in the British Physics Olympiad Competition. This year 2,300 students from 393 schools participated from the UK and from a few schools overseas. The competition run by Oxford University is, as they say, ‘aiming at stretching and challenging the top young physicists in the country in a national competition.’ They also go on to say that ‘University professors have taken this at school and "got nowhere". Every question requires a different perspective to get the measure of it. This fluency in recognising topics and linking ideas is, in part, what develops the physicist's confidence and mastery. It takes time and perseverance to master this challenge.’
This amazing performance by James and Tom puts them both in the top third of this very elite group across the country. |

Pre-loved uniform will be available on the 1st Tuesday of each month in reception between 3.30pm and 4pm. Items will not be individually priced, however, we would ask for a donation to the schools fund if you are able. We have a selection of purple/black jumpers, grey trousers, rugby tops, PE tops, socks, aprons and even shoes/trainers. Appointments to be made via email at office@highcliffeschool.com
